A quick introduction

This herb is one of our recent garden discoveries. The plant has a distinc soapy flavour that reminds of cilantro.

Storage

In a closed container in the fridge.

Season

spring to fall

Suggestions for preparation

Just like cilantro, quilquina has a bold, distinct flavour that can add a touch of freshness to different dishes (although to some people, it just tastes like soap). Quilquina works well as a final garnish on top of dishes such as tacos, curries and soups. Blitz it with other soft herbs, lime or lemon and oil to create a simple dressing for oven grilled vegetables.
